And yet, another biscornu!

I finished yet another biscornu the other day, but the batteries in my camera were dead and my recharger is acting wonky.  Before it crapped out, I managed to take some pictures Rudy and Roscoe who sat with me while I stitched. The other dogs are a little more independent, but these two just love it when I stitch for hours on the sofa instead of in my studio.

Benefits of exercise

Let me preface this by saying that I have never had a problem with high blood pressure, although my mother does.  I stopped  by Kroger after the gym and decided to use their BP machine.  I was just curious to see how it would read after two hours of exercise (belly dancing and the elliptical). I need to check it more often to see if it fluctuates.  It has gone up  some as I have aged, but never as high as it was when I took medication for depression.

Another Baby Biscornu

OK, so I had just a little of this thread left and some fabric scraps…and look what happened!  I figured it would be fun to photograph it next to its full sized cousin.

Number Nine

I love this thread!  The bright green and bright blue parts are my favorites.

And now, another biscornu!

I am on a roll here!

Another biscornu…quelle surprise!

I managed to finish yet another biscornu.  This one is on dove gray fabric with small gray pearlized beads around the edges and freshwater pearls top and bottom.  I am also using this fabric to start Harriet Scott’s Favorite Medallion #1.

Still here, still stitching

I am still here and still stitching, although I will admit that I am still in the midst of an existential crisis.  Oh, well, it happens.

Still stitching

I just finished yet another biscornu.  I am not a counted girl, but I am working on a large project, so I have more in future.  If you follow this blog at all, you will no doubt know that I am obsessed with pincushions.

I enjoyed belly dance class today at La Salsa; I like being Trish’s assistant. I have been practicing a lot more often lately.  Although it was suggested that I have been over-training, I feel like I am doing just what I need to be doing in order to lose those last five pounds.  I also like the freedom of doing whatever feels right.  When I dance alone, I tend to do a little more ballet movement and play with props, like veils. I have not been practising any choreographies, because that is what we do in class.  This is about moving and enjoying myself and forcing myself to look in the mirror.
