GRRRRR!
We are having huge web hosting problems over at CQMagOnline and of course the problems started after I renewed for another year. They are very uncooperative and unwilling to fix the current problem. I am getting more and more frustrated by the hour. No amount of email or talking on the phone seems to have resolved the issue, even though they “escalated” the ticket and someone is supposedly working on it.
Basically, they say we are using too much bandwidth, even though I have checked out statistics and we are well under the allowed amount for our plan. They are holding the website hostage, because they want me to pay more…a LOT more…which I think is completely unfair. It would be one thing if we really did exceed our bandwidth allotment for our account type, or if they were a good web host…neither of which is true.
I am so frustrated!!!! Mostly because I really wanted to move the site to MyHosting.com which has hosted the Pretty Impressive Stuff website for a decade and this blog for a few years. Oh, well, I suppose I needed to vent a little. I just wish they would get their act together and the site was accessible again. The timing could NOT be worse and readers are getting frustrated.

Hi Rissa I was just coming to visit your blog and tell you how much I love cqmag and to say thanks for doing such a wonderful job for us all out here in cyberspace. I am sorry to hear you are having such a frustrating time. I don’t understand how these things work, to complicated for me. I hope you are able to resolve it without too much hassle.

Whew. I thought I’d done something wrong when I got the weird page instead of the website. Good luck getting them to fix it without it costing you more money!
That just plain sucks! I hope you get it resolved soon.
So, they won’t let you download what you own the rights to, is that what I’m understanding? You can’t access it while they are complaining? It seems that if you’ve paid the money, they oughtn’t to be able to change the rules on you. The time to do that was before you paid for a new year! I hope you can get the whole site back long enough to download everything. I know it’s a pain to move just a few pages, let alone the number that the magazine must be! Thank you for sticking with it.
Yes, evil, they are EeeeVillll! I hope they don’t extort and get away with it. They may even be doing this to others. Hope you can get away from them.
